I absolutely loved the charming neoclassical architecture of the hotel. It gave a nostalgic and traditional feel to the place, which I found very appealing. The general areas were beautifully decorated and created a cozy atmosphere. As a senior, I was pleased with the hotel's accessibility. The staff was always helpful and ready to assist me whenever I needed it.
I would have appreciated more options for activities for senior people.

Good location, the hotel was fairly clean.
The rooms were nicely furnished and brand-new with comfortable bed and clean towels and amazing view, just what was needed.

The rooms were spacious and clean, with a lovely balcony and a great view. The location of the hotel was perfect, just a short walk from the center, port, and beach. It was also convenient to have parking spaces available. the hotel provided tickets for an Aton trip, which was a nice bonus.
There were some issues during my stay. There was a lack of water for half of the time, and even when hot water was available, it was only in the afternoon.

Fairly nice stay, as always. Nice looking hotel in an unbeatable position to the many restaurants. Plenty of goodies for breakfast.
Very small room.

The hotel's decoration is simply charming, with a touch of elegance that made me feel like I was in a luxurious palace. The general areas were beautifully designed, creating a warm and cozy atmosphere. As a senior woman, I truly appreciated how accessible the hotel was for me. There were ramps and elevators, making it easy for me to navigate around the hotel without any difficulties. The children working there were always ready to lend a helping hand and ensure that I had a comfortable and enjoyable stay.
If I had to ask for one thing to make the vacation even better for senior people, it would be to have more seating areas throughout the hotel. Sometimes, after a long day of exploring, I would have loved to find a cozy corner to sit and relax, enjoy a cup of tea or read a book.

Excellent pool facilities, very nice staff, good location, very clean, breakfast very budget, but not for overnight stay, to pricey, can find just as good and half the price, without the pool, but very happy with my stay,
Pool closes at 8pm, breakfast very budget

I chose this hotel for attending a summit near the holy monasteries and it was perfect. The staff was helpful, the room clean, and the location convenient. The facilities provided everything I needed for a comfortable stay.
I only missed having a dedicated workspace in the room for my work.

The hotel is centrally located, making it convenient to access the Mt Athos ferry and office, as well as being just minutes away from the port, beach, and town centre. The rooms are well-equipped and comfortable, with spacious suites available. The staff is friendly and helpful, ensuring a pleasant stay. The hotel also offers a pool and parking facilities.
Some guests mentioned that the breakfast could be improved with more fruit and better coffee.

We were at the Pyrgos primarily to experience the boat tour to seee Mt. Athos. We liked the convenient proximity and the amenities - very nice pool & breakfast area.
We actually modified our booking, changing from three night to two, because we didn't think there was enough to do (no daytripping - too far to anywhere else) and left a day early, going to the Despotiko (your booking) at Portaria.
